What are Digits?
Digits are Unique Symbols.
There are only ten Digits.
Such as 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
Using of Digits
We use "one Digit" or "more than one" Digits to make numbers.
Place Value
In numbers, the digits are located in certain positions.
The position of a digit determines its “place value.”
It’s starting from the right and going towards the left.
The first position is that of “units (also called ones).”
The next position is that of “tens.”
The third position is that of “ hundreds.”
This group of three orders is called a “period.”
Each “period” has a unique name, such as ones, thousands, millions, billions, and trillions (It's International Number System).

First period, Ones are group of three orders.
Next periods are group of two orders.
Such as, Thousands, Lakhs, and Cores.
